[UPDATED] Fantastic Folds: The Blizzard Book and the Turkish Map Fold at Tampines Regional Library

Join me for a FREE (pre-registration is required) book arts worksop at Tampines Regional Library on Saturday, September 27 at 2pm!

In this special session of my “Make a Book!” workshop created specifically for artSEEN, a year-long visual arts program sponsored by the National Library Board and the National Arts Council, learn bookbinding’s basic vocabulary, its fundamental tools and their uses, as well as materials and techniques of the craft. Take home two books that fold up in magical ways and reveal secrets when opened! The amazing Blizzard Books’ folds interlock to create a fixed spine and pockets that can hold cards, folios, or an accordion. The Turkish Map Fold Book is a series of expanding (exploding!) map folds that collapse into a tidy form.

The workshop is limited to 25 participants, so register now! You can also “egister” at library eKiosks an any NLB branch. Registration is closed. To be placed on the waiting list, please email your full name and phone number to LECK_Yan_Ping@nlb.gov.sg; make sure the subject line reads “Fantastic Folds.”
