I’ve visited Hong Kong several times in the past two years and, each time, fall more deeply in love. On this trip, we were determined to explore the city’s oft-lauded beaches. The above photographs were taken during an early evening picnic on the touristy, but oh so beautiful, Repulse Bay.
On my next Hong Kong itinerary? The beaches of Lantau and Lamma Islands, especially Upper and Lower Cheung Sha and Lo So Shing.
If you go: Visit Tin Hau Temple, at the southeastern end of Repulse Bay, and marvel at its red Bridge of Longevity and 15-foot-tall statues of Tin Hau, the Queen of Heaven and Protectress of Seafarers, and Kwun Yum, Goddess of Mercy.
