Again, Artsy Meetup*

* We really need to think of a better name for this thing. Suggestions?

Anywho… save the date. jusdeananas and I are, once again, inviting you—arts bloggers, arts educators, museum curators, students of art history, or anyone interested in the arts/culture industry in Singapore—to join us for a drink and a yak session. We’re meeting at 8pm on Wednesday, November 2 at The Pigeonhole, 52/53 Duxton Road. If you have any questions, email jusdeananas@gmail.com or contact.notabilia@gmail.com or leave a comment on either of our blogs.

All are welcome, regardless of experience or expertise. If you love the arts and culture, we want you there.

  1. Wow I really like your posts. So many fantastic places I have never been to. It’s always a wise idea to be ‘Dora the explorer’ around Singapore because there are some things we just gotta dig! :)

And also, just wanted to say I really enjoyed the last session of the artsy meetup. I got to see so many arts-inspired practitioners around to inspire my ongoing interest in the arts. :) But I forgot the name of one of our friends – the dancer! She has a great personality. :)

    Once again, thanks for organising!

  2. I had a blast at the last meetup — thanks again for organising!

I heard some interesting ideas at the meetup on how the arts scene could be further enriched. You and readers of this blog may have heard that the government has commissioned a review to formulate the “next phase” of Singapore’s arts and culture landscape. I think they’re soliciting feedback and ideas from the public on this website until the end of September or so: http://www.acsr.sg/default.aspx. People may be interested in tossing a few thoughts their way; I plan to do so myself.
